HOUSTON -- Mike Trout was out of the Angels' lineup for a second straight day on Wednesday, while continuing to nurse the sore left wrist he injured on a dive attempt three days ago.
Trout is available for defense and pinch-running, but the Angels want him to stay away from hitting for an extra day.
"I want to be 100 percent," Trout said. "I don't want to have a setback."
Trout said his wrist feels "a lot better," and he's confident he won't have to go on the disabled list.
New addition David DeJesus started in place of Trout in center field, leading off.
