The Angels had only two outs to spare. With one out in the bottom of the ninth, the Angels trailed the Giants, 6-5. On a 2-2 pitch, David Fletcher singled to put the tying run on first and bring the game-winning run to the plate. Tommy La Stella stepped up, and quickly fell behind in the count.
On the fourth pitch of the at bat, he connected on an 82-mph curveball and hit a game-winning two run homer to give the Angels the 7-6 victory.
The Giants got out front first as Brandon Belt hit a two-run homer in the first inning.
