The week in interesting and unusual stats

Six months after it started, it's hard to believe we've reached the final day of the regular season. Two-thirds of teams will see their season end Sunday, but fortunately, a few of them left us some "parting gifts" on the way out.

Hunter Renfroe of the San Diego Padres singlehandedly defeated the Dodgers Tuesday. Not with a 1-0 solo shot, but with a grand slam and a three-run homer. Final score: 7-1. Renfroe was the third player in Padres history to hit a slam and a three-run in the same game, joining Jack Clark (1989) and Dave Kingman (1977).
