SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Andrew Bailey’s comeback story is going to get another chapter with the Angels.
The Angels on Wednesday agreed to a one-year, $1 million deal with Bailey, adding him to the late-inning bullpen competition.
Bailey was the 2009 rookie of the year and a former All-Star closer before injuries derailed his career.
The Angels signed him to a minor-league deal after he’d been released by the Philadelphia Phillies last August, and he made the most of his opportunity.
Bailey, 32, recorded six saves and posted a 2.38 ERA in 12 games in September.
