PITTSBURGH – Huston Street ran through the entire gamut of emotions, from confidence to disappointment to elation to fear to relief.
And that was just in about 30 seconds.
The Angels closer was on the mound to finish off a come-from-behind 5-4 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday, but not before thinking he’d blown the game and also worrying about an injury to one of his most important teammates.
After the Angels had overcome a 4-1 deficit with two runs in the seventh and two in the eighth on an Albert Pujols homer, Street was on the mound dealing with the heart of the Pittsburgh lineup to try to secure the series victory.
