BOSTON – The hope and good vibes the Angels generated with an everybody-hits, rollicking victory less than 48 hours earlier were drowned out with two days of harsh reality.

The Angels lost, 6-1, Sunday afternoon to the Boston Red Sox, scoring a total of four runs in dropping the final two games of the series after their 12-run outburst on Friday.
