Shohei Ohtani MVP Odds: Face of baseball still at the top despite slump

Shohei Ohtani has been slumping a little bit for the LA Angels at the plate.

In his last seven games, he’s 2 for 16 with zero home runs and zero runs batted in.

As far as his play on the mound goes, he’s still been lights out. The best pitcher on the Angels just pitched after he hadn’t been on the mound for a while due to a fluke dugout injury where a foul ball hit him in the thumb.

He dominated, going six innings while giving up just one run and walking nobody.
