Shohei Ohtani almost added another incredible achievement to his resume on Sunday, as he finished a single short of hitting for the cycle. I know, imagine needing only a single to complete the cycle! Too bad. The Angels will take it, as they picked up the 6-4 victory over the Rays.
The Halos’ offense came alive late, as they scored a run in their final four innings. In the top of the sixth, Ohtani hit a double to drive in a run and give the Angels the 2-1 lead. In typical Angels fashion though, the bullpen proceeded to allow three runs in the bottom half of the inning, putting the Rays on top, 4-2.
