The Angels have already addressed some holes in their roster by re-signing left fielder Justin Upton and acquiring right-handed reliever Jim Johnson, but work remains to be done for general manager Billy Eppler and his staff this winter.
Next week, they will shift their offseason shopping to Lake Buena Vista, Fla., where the annual Winter Meetings are slated to run from this Sunday through next Thursday. Among the Angels' priorities will be continuing their push for Japanese star Shohei Ohtani, who they met in Los Angeles on Monday, and finding a new starting second baseman.
