SEATTLE -- Seattle Mariners center fielder Julio Rodriguez was out of the starting lineup Monday after leaving Sunday's game in the sixth inning with a sprained right ankle and is still being considered "day to day."
Rodriguez underwent an MRI on Monday afternoon, and after the Mariners lost to the Los Angeles Angels, 3-1, Seattle manager Scott Servais, in his postgame media availability, labeled the injury a "mild ankle sprain" with no real timetable.
Rodriguez suffered the injury when he jumped for a long drive hit by Houston Astros slugger Yordan Alvarez and crashed into the wall.
