This past Saturday, Los Angeles Angels prospect Sean Newcomb made his first start for High-A Inland Empire. He didn’t miss a beat following his promotion from Single-A Burlington where he made seven starts to begin 2015.
Newcomb entered the year as the Halos #2 prospect after being taken in the first round of last year’s draft. The 6’5″ left-hander began the year with the Burlington Bees but dominated his competition to the point that a promotion was necessary for his development.
