ANAHEIM -- Mike Scioscia's 19-year run with the Angels is at an end.
Scioscia, the longest-tenured manager in baseball, stepped down from his post following the club's regular-season finale on Sunday against the A's, a 5-4 win. The move was widely expected, as Scioscia was in the final days of the 10-year, $50 million contract he signed with the club in January 2009.
Scioscia, 59, departs as the most successful manager in franchise history -- steering the Angels to their first and only World Series championship in 2002. He also captured six division titles and won two Manager of the Year awards.
