ANAHEIM -- Angels starting pitcher Hector Santiago was ejected with in the third inning of his start against the Baltimore Orioles on Friday.
Santiago threw an off-speed pitch inside to Orioles catcher Matt Wieters, which home plate umpire John Tumpane called a ball to move the count to 3-0. Santiago argued, motioning with his arms. Tumpane ejected him from the game. Angels manager Mike Scioscia came out to argue, but was not ejected.
This is just the second ejection of Santiago's career, with the other coming in 2015.
In all, Santiago was charged with four earned runs on three hits, all of them home runs, in 2 2/3 innings of work.
