Pujols leaves game after being hit by pitch on left hand (The Associated Press)

TORONTO (AP) -- Los Angeles Angels slugger Albert Pujols left Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays in the fifth, one inning after he was hit on the left hand by a pitch from Blue Jays starter Drew Hutchison.

Pujols doubled over in pain after being struck and was examined by the trainer, but stayed in the game to run the bases, eventually being stranded at third base.

Pujols handled one chance defensively in the bottom half of the inning, completing a double play at first base, but was replaced by pinch hitter Marc Krauss in the fifth.
