ANAHEIM -- Albert Pujols launched a line drive deep into the left-center-field gap with the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the ninth on Thursday night, sending the Angels to a walk-off, 4-3 win over the division-rival Rangers, giving his team its first victory of the 2016 season.
Pujols' hit came immediately after the Rangers intentionally walked Mike Trout.
The Rangers also dropped their last two to the Mariners and have lost three of four to start a season for the first time since 2007. The Angels were coming off being outscored by the Cubs, 15-1, in a two-game series.
