Two-way Angels star Shohei Ohtani is expected to make his return to the mound and start on Sunday against the Astros, the club announced on Thursday.
Ohtani, who is 4-1 with a 3.10 ERA in nine starts this season, has been recovering from a right ulnar collateral ligament sprain but was activated from the disabled list on July 3 to resume serving as the Angels' designated hitter. His last start was on June 6.
