Ohtani gets 1st MLB hit on 1st pitch he sees

OAKLAND -- Shohei Ohtani wasted no time getting his first big league hit, singling on the first pitch he saw from A's starter Kendall Graveman in the Angels' Opening Day 6-5 walk-off loss to the A's on Thursday.

With the Angels leading, 1-0, with two outs in the top of the second, Ohtani, batting eighth and serving as the designated hitter in his Major League debut, bounced one through the right side of the infield for his first career hit.
