ANAHEIM -- Angels right-hander Shohei Ohtani unleashed his full repertoire at the Twins' expense on Sunday afternoon, striking out 10 through five scoreless innings in their series finale at Angel Stadium.
Ohtani had scattered only three singles over 73 pitches in his first start at home since April 17. He induced 16 swinging strikes -- eight with his slider -- while also locating his upper-90s fastball and nasty splitter.
Ohtani's 10th strikeout was his 42nd of the season, setting an Angels record for most K's through six games pitched.
