New general manager Perry Minasian has reportedly begun building the Angels’ baseball operations department, with the hiring of three executives he worked with in Atlanta.
The Angels will bring on board assistant general manager Alex Tamin, special assistant Dominic Chiti, and scout Rick Williams, per Ken Rosenthal at The Athletic. Jeff Fletcher at the Orange County Register confirmed the report, and noted the Angels might have multiple assistant general managers under Minasian, as they did with Billy Eppler.
The Angels have not yet announced the hires.
At his introductory press conference last Tuesday, Minasian mentioned that he’d be filling out his staff relatively soon.
