As Jacob deGrom proves, a team losing games is not necessarily the consistent fault of the starting pitcher. But then, the Angels have lost 8 of Trevor Cahill’s 11 Game Starts. They have lost a Cahill start when the failed to score at all. They have lost when they have scored only 1 run, and only 2, and only 3. That happens. deGrom again. But losing when the Angels score 5, or score 7, or score 5 again, or score 7 again...well...that’s been all Cahill.
Trevor was fairly respectable for the first 3 innings. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any rain to end the shiny start to his latest outing.
