MLB Rumor Central: C.J. Cron returning to Angels earlier than expected?

When Los Angeles Angels first baseman C.J. Cron went out with a broken left hand before the All-Star break, he was expected to miss six to eight weeks for recovery as most players do with similar injuries -- right? Think again.

According to MLB.com's Alden Gonzalez, Cron was initially expected back in late August, but could start swinging the bat Tuesday, which would put him back in the lineup in two weeks.

Don't worry if you're in shock; Angels manager Mike Scioscia felt the same way.

"Yeah, I know, it's amazing," Scioscia said, per Gonzalez.
