Alright Angels fans, you can now begin crying. Tonight, Billy Eppler officially confirmed what many of us were fearing, Mike Trout is headed to the DL.
As he slid into second base on Sunday Mike tore a ligament in his left thumb. Up to this point in his career, he has been insanely durable for the Angels. In 2013 and 2014 Trout played in 157 games, missing a total of 5 games per season. He upped the ante in 2015 and 2016 where he appeared in 159 games both seasons, only missing 3 per season.
