Mike Trout matched Tim Salmon on Friday for the most home runs in Angels history, with 299. But there’s still one franchise home run record Salmon still holds, and likely will into 2021.
Salmon hit 160 home runs at home, in what was called Anaheim Stadium, Edison Field, and Angel Stadium of Anaheim during his career (1992-2006). That’s the most in the history of the ballpark, 10 more than Trout.
Trout this season has excelled in Anaheim, hitting .344/.436/.797 with nine home runs, 20 runs batted in, and 18 runs scored in 17 home games.
