The Angels got some positive injury news on Tuesday, with Mike Trout now out of a walking boot, a few weeks after suffering a right calf injury that is expected to sideline him for six to eight weeks.
Trout will still be out a while, likely at least another month, but this is at least a step toward his eventual return.
From manager Joe Maddon, per Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times: “I don’t know what the exact process looks like, but he’s motivated to get back. So whatever the minimal time is, I think he’ll attempt to attack it in that way.
