According to Angels Pipeline who has broke news like this before, it’s time for Matt Thaiss to make his debut.
Thaiss had an incredible June with a 150 wRC+ and 8 home runs for the Salt Lake bees. Thaiss is not on the 40 man roster, so some corresponding move(s) will need to be made. Tommy La Stella is possibly heading for the IL:
Oh, Tommy La Stella has been removed from the active All-Star roster. He suffered a shin contusion last night. Still no word from the Angels on whether he’s going on the IL, but this isn’t a good sign.
