PITCHING REPORT: RH Matt Shoemaker gave up four runs in four-plus innings, but only two were earned, and both of those scored after he was out of the game. Shoemaker did strike out eight and walk one… RH Kirby Yates was summoned with two on in the middle of an inning, which is perhaps a sign that he’s getting a serious look at how he’d perform once the season begins.
