Los Angeles Angels race for closer job is a two-horse race again.

Los Angeles Angels general manager Billy Eppler in his infinite wisdom decided the Angels should re-sign closer Andrew Bailey possibly as a precautionary measure. Eppler has been looking very smart with Huston Street going down with a grade 1 right lat strain and it will be at least two more weeks before he can start throwing again.

Cam Bedrosian on the other hand had a strained groin and had not pitched all Spring until Thursday against the Indians. So by default Bailey is the leader in the race to begin the 2017 season as the Angels closer.

So far Bailey has not exactly pitched like someone you would want to have as your closer.
