Hours after the CDC issued guidance that suggests it could be June before we see baseball again, the Angels announced on Sunday that they are optioning five players to the minor leagues.
Jaime Barria, Kyle Keller, Anthony Bemboom, Jose Quijada and Taylor Cole have all been optioned to the Triple-A in Salt Lake City.
Barria pitched the most innings over the shortened spring for the Angels. He got off to a great start before a rough outing jumped his ERA north of four runs.
