The Los Angeles Angels decided to not tender a contract to left-handed reliever Cesar Ramos by the Wednesday night deadline making him a free agent. Ramos was one of two left-handers in the Angels bullpen during the 2015 season posting a 2-1 record with a 2.75 ERA and 1.34 WHIP. Ramos pitched in 65 games a total of 52.1 innings of work allowing 17 runs, 16 of which were earned, and striking out 43 batters.
For his six-year big league career Ramos is 7-12 with a 3.70 ERA striking out 241 batters in 299 innings of work for three teams, the San Diego Padres, Tampa Bay Rays, and the Los Angeles Angels.
