The Los Angeles Angels lose another key component in their front office over the past four years, as Matt Klentak leaves the club to become the general manger of the Philadelphia Phillies. Klentak replaces Ruben Amaro Jr. who was fired in early September. Klentak is the second assistant GM to leave the Los Angeles Angels front office in less than a week as assistant general manager Scott Servais was announced as the new manager in Seattle last Friday.
Unlike Servais, who was expected to leave at the end of the 2015 season, Klentak had said he would like to stay on under new Angels GM Billy Eppler.
