LA Angels Tommy La Stella has taken full advantage of the situation having a career-year in only half a season. So far La Stella is hitting .300 with 16 homers and 44 RBIs and .352 OBP. In five years prior to 2019 La Stella had only hit 10 homers total. In addition La Stella has only struck out 26 times in 263 at-bats.
Thanks to La Stella’s great first-half he finished first place in the initial All-Star balloting at second base edging out perennial All-Star Jose Altuve and the Yankees D.J. LeMahieu. La Stella will now be in the finals to be a starter for the 2019 All-Star game.
