The LA Angels took a big step into the new baseball trends last Sunday when they decided to use reliever Hansel Robles as the opener in their series finale against the Seattle Mariners. Robles was up to the task retiring the side in order in the first inning setting up original starter, Jaime Barria, with the opportunity to avoid the top of the Mariners order which helped him make it to the seventh inning.
Hansel Robles has been up to task almost every time he is called upon for that matter so far this season. Robles has been used as an opener, a set-up man and also a closer within the first month of the season.
