First off, huge shout out to David Fletcher’s selflessness in giving the LA Angels’ newest star his number. During Rendon’s press conference on Saturday, he made clear that he never even asked for the #6 from Fletcher, but that Fletcher did the act on his own.
Fletcher’s selflessness on the field carries off the field as well. However, in 2020, Fletcher is finally set at one position as the Angels’ starting second baseman. While he could see time in right field until Jo Adell is ready to be an everyday starter in the big leagues, he’ll play the large majority of his innings at second base.
