The LA Angels have had a plethora of injuries this season. Recently, third baseman Yunel Escobar has been scratched from some games. This led the way for them to call up Kaleb Cowart. Cowart has been in the Angels’ organization since 2010 when he was drafted.
The former first round pick is now 25 years old, and has yet to live up to his draft capital. In 65 career games, he owns a .176 batting average. He has walked five times while striking out 42 times. He does have eight extra base hits (two home runs and six doubles).
