Julio Teheran wishes he could have thrown more than one inning

It was a rough Sunday afternoon for Julio Teheran. He allowed only three runs on the day.... but it came in his lone inning of work. He allowed three runs on two hits with two walks in the first inning, before being pulled prior to taking the mound in the second.

“You want to stay in the game in and compete,” Teheran said following the game. “I was sad I couldn’t stay.”

Today wasn’t the only rough outing for Teheran in 2020, it’s essentially been every outing for him. In 30 13 innings of work, Teheran has allowed 32 runs to score while allowing 37 hits.
