ANAHEIM – Johnny Giavotella is right back where he’s been for most of his career.
After proving to the Angels he could be an everyday player in 2015 and holding the spot for much of 2016, Giavotella is again on the bench.
“I think my entire career I’ll be fighting to prove to people I can play every day,” Giavotella said Wednesday. “It’s nothing new to me.”
Giavotella was not in the Angels lineup on Wednesday. It was the 10th time in 14 games that Giavotella was on the bench. He had started 86 of the Angels first 106 games.
