I know it is still really early in the 2016 season, but Jered Weaver has suddenly found the proverbial “Fountain of Youth” as he has turned back the clock to a more successful period of his career with the Los Angeles Angels. In his first start of the season which up until a few days prior to was up in the air due to neck pain, Weaver was stellar giving up only one run in six innings of work against the Texas Rangers weaving in and out of trouble a couple times, but overall he was very effective and picked up his 139th career victory with a 3-1 win over Texas helping him pass Nolan Ryan and move into 2nd place on the Angels All-Time victory list behind only Chuck Finley (165).
