MINNEAPOLIS – The Angels' two injured lefties continue to make progress, with vastly different timetables, toward returning to the rotation.
Andrew Heaney, who is out with a strained flexor muscle in his forearm, has played light catch twice this week.
Although Heaney acknowledged he’s frustrated to be on the disabled list and feeling “useless,” he said he is optimistic that he’s getting “better every day.”
“I feel like the daily activities are really normal,” Heaney said Friday. “Just working on the activities that allow me to throw.”
The Angels don’t yet have a timetable for Heaney to get on a mound, but once he is it shouldn’t take long since he already went through a normal spring training.
