Hinske made three consecutive trips to the World Series with the 2007 Red Sox, the '08 Rays and the '09 Yankees, winning championships with Boston and New York. He and Don Baylor are the only two players to play in three consecutive Fall Classics with three different teams.
The Cubs originally selected Hinske in the 17th round of the 1998 Draft out of the University of Arkansas. A native of Menasha, Wis., Hinske and his family currently reside in Scottsdale, Ariz.
In Anaheim, Hinske will be tasked with helping to repair the Angels' offense, which was one of the American League's worst units in 2017.
