The Angels' rotation suffered another blow Saturday as the team announced that starter Matt Shoemaker has been placed on the 10-day disabled list retroactive to June 15 with a strain in his right forearm extensor.
Los Angeles also announced several corresponding moves Saturday. Reliever Cam Bedrosian was reinstated from the disabled list, where he has been since April 22 with a right groin strain. Right-hander Daniel Wright was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake to clear a spot for Bedrosian, while fellow right-hander Parker Bridwell was recalled from Salt Lake to the Angels' Major League roster.
