ANAHEIM — One year ago, Garrett Richards posted an ERA almost half that of Ubaldo Jimenez. This year, the two right-handers’ marks have moved far closer, and Jimenez thoroughly out-pitched Richards — and outwitted the Angels’ hitters — on Saturday night at Angel Stadium.

Jimenez no-hit the Angels through 5 2/3 innings and held them to two hits over eight frames, as Baltimore battered Richards for seven hits and three runs over six innings.
