MILWAUKEE – Facing three games without the designated hitter in Milwaukee, C.J. Cron had to wait patiently for his chance to contribute.
He made it count.
Cron, limited to one pinch-hit appearance each day of the series, drove in the go-ahead run with a two-out, eighth-inning double, helping the Angels to a badly needed 7-3 victory over the Brewers.
The Angels trailed 3-2 after seven innings, but Mike Trout tied the game with his seventh homer of the season.
A Kole Calhoun single and a Geovany Soto walk put two runners on for Cron, who pulled an RBI double into the left-field corner.
