ANAHEIM – Taylor Featherston, who is now batting .132, is playing because he’s the Angels best defensive option at second base.
But it was Featherston who failed to come up with a makeable play, leading to the go-ahead run in the eighth inning of the Angels’ 2-1 loss to the Texas Rangers on Saturday night.
The loss dropped the Angels to 3 ½ games behind the Rangers for the second wild card.
