LOS ANGELES – Clayton Kershaw extended his streak and ended the Angels’ streak.
For the sixth straight game, two shy of the major league record, Kershaw reached double-figures in strikeouts, fanning 11 Angels hitters in the Dodgers’ 5-1 victory on Tuesday night.
The Angels’ four-game winning streak came to an end in predictable fashion, Kershaw outpitching Jered Weaver, who did well just to keep the Angels within reach.
In seven innings, the Dodgers nicked Weaver for four runs, two on the first of Joc Pederson’s two homers.
The Angels scored just one against Kershaw in the second inning, and it only seemed to irritate him, as he mowed them down without much trouble for the rest of the night.
