ANAHEIM – The Angels' happy ride toward the postseason hit a pothole Wednesday night.
A combination of four errors and some shaky work by the bullpen led to an 8-7 loss to the Oakland A’s, snapping their seven-game winning streak and temporarily dropping the Angels back into a tie with the Houston Astros for the wild-card spot.
The Astros played the Seattle Mariners later Wednesday.
The Angels also fell 2 1/2 games behind the Texas Rangers, who were playing the Detroit Tigers at home Wednesday night. The Angels and Rangers begin a four-game series Thursday night.
