CLEVELAND – The Angels continue to find new ways to hit new lows.
Their 13-3 loss to the Cleveland Indians on Friday night was their eighth in a row, the club’s longest skid since 1999, before Mike Scioscia took over as manager.
The Angels, who lost 14-4 on Thursday, have allowed at least 13 runs in back-to-back games for the first time since 2000.
And this one came with an added embarrassing statistic: the Indians stole eight bases in eight attempts against the Angels, the most in franchise history.
The Angels came into the game in the middle of the pack in preventing steals, but the Indians led the league in both steals and stolen base percentage.
