ANAHEIM – Jered Weaver and Dallas Keuchel were both trying to turn back the clock to better days.
One succeeded.
Weaver couldn’t revert to his ace form from a few years ago, but Keuchel did a fair approximation of the pitcher who won the Cy Young just last year.
The Angels managed three hits in seven innings against Keuchel, and Weaver was beaten by a tie-breaking Jason Castro homer in the sixth inning of a 4-2 loss to the Houston Astros on Saturday night.
Two of the Angels hits were back-to-back homers, by Mike Trout and Albert Pujols in the first inning.
