Featherston Goes Yard, C.J. Goes The Distance, Angels Win 7-1

C.J. Wilson was brilliant, going eight strong innings. Taylor Featherston hit his first major-league home run to start the scoring for the Angels, and Johnny Giavotella followed that up with his third of the year. Those dingers were merely two drops in the bucket...

C.J. Wilson was superb and economical today, throwing nine punchies (three courtesy of Paul freakin' Goldscmidt), yet keeping the pitch count manageable with some groundouts, some fly outs and some well-timed double plays. The offense followed C.J.'s lead, scoring with the long ball, the RBI double and the RBI single.
