With the end of the World Series, the clock has officially begun ticking, setting the deadline for one of the Angels first key decisions of the offseason.
The Angels must decide by Wednesday whether to exercise David Murphy’s $7 million option for 2016, or else pay him a $500,000 buyout. If the Angels decline the option, they could still negotiate to bring him back at a lesser salary.
