LOS ANGELES – The Angels are swapping veteran left-handed relievers at Triple-A.
They have reached an agreement with David Huff on a minor-league deal, while Neal Cotts has exercised the out in his minor-league deal. The Angels have until Wednesday to either add Cotts to the major league roster or release him.
Cotts, 36, had a 3.29 ERA in 13 2/3 innings at Salt Lake City. A veteran of 10 major league seasons, Cotts exercised an out with the Houston Astros in spring training, at which point the Angels signed him.
Huff, 31, just exercised an out in his deal with the Kansas City Royals.
